Out of Office Auto reply to e-mails

I have Office 2000. I do not have the drop down "Out of
Office" that you can click when on vacation to let people
know you are unavailable.
1. Can this be added to 2000?
2. Can I buy an upgrade to 2002 or do I have to purchase
the whole dang thing?
