I'm having a terrible problem with a few tasks on an MS Project 2003
schedule. A task had an original finish date of 9/28. I increased the
duration of the task so the finish date is now 10/31. I noticed that the
assignment finish stayed at 9/28. So I went into the task usage view and
changed the assignment finish to 10/31 also.
All is fine until I get into a situation on a different task where I get the
warning that this has made actuals out of sync with protected actuals. So now
what I sync with protected actuals and the other task goes back to 9/28 for
the assignment finish.
Why doesn't the assignment finish change when the task finish is changed?
How can I change the assignment duration to 10/31 and have it stick...so it
doesn't revert back to 9/28 if a different task becomes out of sync with
actuals?
How can I change the protected actuals to be what I want to be protected?
