My daughter recently got an email (Outlook 2K3) from a client, and it
had a link in the body, a text type link (no http:// etc showing on
the "surface") but the link turned out to be to an attachment instead,
one that came in with the message, presumably. She was able to see
that the actual link started with "outbind://..." As I understand it,
there was no other obvious indication of an attachment but I could be
wrong on that. She did say that she couldn't open it in the more
conventional ways, i.e., the attachment button or save attachments.
My question to the group (for her) is how was this thing created? She
said it was quite slick (for Outlook
but I can't find anything
after a quick search that seems relevant.
For me, tho, what exactly is this Outbind thing? Prior to her
mentioning it, I'd never heard of this before. A search here leaves me
still baffled, sorry, despite numerous references.
