Outbound email setting issue

I am having trouble configuring outbound email on my project 2007 server. I
have found where to speciy my SMTP server, but I do nto see where I can
specify authentication information. I use an outsourced email service and
need to specify username and password when doign smtp relay.

help?

Alex:

There is no place to specify this. You need to get the outsource vendor to
authorize relay from your IP address, or you need to find an SMTP server
that doesn't require authentication.
