Outbox attachment files

I have Outlook 2003. I have been attempting to send files from Word, Excel
and other applications via the "send to mail recepient as attachment" feature
and the mail hangs in my Outbox. I have to do a manual send/receive to get
the Outbox to release...sometimes it just hangs in there and won't send.
When I create a new mail from Outlook and attach the file I want to send it
does not hang in the outbox, it works fine!! Any ideas??

I don't know why this worked, but it worked...

First, remove all items from your Outbox.

Then, from within Outlook 2003 (latest patches applied)
Click Tools --> Options -->
On the Preferences Tab
click E-mail Options --> Advanced E-mail Options -->

Look for the item:

"In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with original message"

If this box is checked or unchecked, click it to the opposite and
Re-send your test it should leave your Outbox.

After your test leaves your Outbox go back and check the box to the
way it was originally and then re-send your test again.
