After having Outlook work fine for a long time, recently it began to behave
badly. When I try to send an email (with my Comcast POP3 accounts), the
Outbox shows the message has not gone out. An error comes up when I look at
the send/receive details that says,
Task 'The Pruiett Family - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
However, if I connect a VPN to my workplace and then try the send, it goes
through promptly. This problem comes and goes right now, but mainly it
stays. What could be causing the problem?
Also, when I go into email accounts and do a "Test Account Settings" on any
of my POP3 accounts, four of the five steps complete fine with just the send
test email step failing with:
Task 'The Pruiett Family - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
