outbox problem

I have a large message stuck in my outbox. It has scaned attachments on it
and is 22mb long.
It has been there for about 3 weeks and I think it is slowing up other
messages flowing through the outbox. If I try to open it, it tells me that
the message can not be opened as it has already started sending. It will not
delete. How do i get rid of it?
