Outbox Problems with XP Offce

My outbox sometime does not empty even when I'm online and I can
successfully test the mail server options. Some time it will just sit
in the outbox no matter how many times I hit the send/recv key. The
details shows a successful completion but the item remains in the
outbox with NONE under the sent column. Other times, the time and
date stamp is under the sent column but the item still remains in the
outbox.

Any ideas?

Have you run Detect and Repair? How about a new mail profile?

Detect and Repair did not do the trick. If I create a new mail file,
will I lose access to all the old mail, adress list, etc....?

A new profile configured to use the same mailbox store will not lose any of
your items.
