outer joins 2003 --> 2007

We are in the process of migrating local databases from 2003 to 2007.
For testing I am simply opening the 2003 in 2007. 98% of our queries
are running just fine. Those that aren't all seem to have outer joins.
These queries run quickly in 2003 and appear to simply hang in 2007.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Show us the SQL for one of the problem queries. Open the query in design
view. Next go to View, SQL View and copy and past it here. Information on
primary keys and relationships would be a nice touch too. Also any indexes.
