Outgoing mail gateway changed, how to send through new one

My outgoing mail gateway is down and I have a dozen
emails in my outbox that are expecting to go through it.
I set up another account with another provided but the
old messages don't want to go through that gateway.

How do I tell them to go through the new gateway?
