outgoing messages not in outbox

iI set up a new POP3 email account in Outlook 2007 on a machine with an
existing corp email acct, and deleted the corp acct. Tested outgoing and
incoming email using the test button, everything 5 bye.
When I send emails, they disappear. They are not in outbox or sent box and
do not arrive at the recipient.. When I close Outlook, msg box tells me there
are messages in the outbox but when I go there it is empty

The current folder set are all the folders from the old acct. I am able to
download mail from the new acct, but not send.

Diane,

Only one set of folders appears.

I deleted the corp email account before I made the new account the default.
Could that be part of the problem?

press CTRL+6 - do you see more than 1 set of folders? Are they in a
different outbox?

It acts like the messages are in another box, but I can't find any. I had
this account up on another machine but it went down and I moved the account
to an old laptop.
