Outgoing server

I need some serious help. I have a VPS on Gate.com and I need to get me email
working. I also have another DNS server (1and1.com) which I have pointing to
Gate. I'm new at this "backend" stuff so whatever help I can get, I would
appreciate. Everytime I try to connect my email to Outlook, I get the message
"Outlook could not connect to the outgoing mail server (SMTP). The problem
could be the server name or port, or your server may not support SSL. Verify
your port and SSL setting in More Settings under the...." Any way to fix this.

If your SMTP server is no on the same network as your ISP then you'll most
likely need to enable authentication for the SMTP server in your account
settings.
