Outklook Express changes to 127.0.0.1

XP Home SP2, Outlook Express 6.x, Office 2003 Student edition. Installed
Office 2003 and set Oultook as default email handler. Outlook Express gets
the POP3 changed to "127.0.0.1", the loopback adress. I set Outlook Express
back to default Express and in IE6 set mail back to outlook express and still
the loop back appears. I can't tell exactly when this occurs but it is
frequent. I no longer open Outlook 2003.
I have firewall and antivirus installed and updated
ANy ideas?

Hello @discussions.microsoft.com,

It's probably your antivirus software. A lot of them grab the POP feed and
change the mail software to refer to 127.0.0.1 (the localhost address).
