Outline codes gone wild!

P

Project Server 2002, Project Pro 2002.

I add an Enterprise Outline code to a view, like Enterprise Task Outline
Code1.
I rename it, define a code mask, and create values for the lookup table.
I save the view, and then go to see it in the appropriate area.

Rather than Enterprise Task Outline Code1, what instead shows up (at least
the column header indicates this) is Enterprise Text 35, or some other random
field which may not even be available when I originally created the view.

Any ideas where to start fixing this one? Thanks

Did you create the Enterprise Task Outline Code field in the Enterprise
Global file first? If so, did you save and close the Enterprise Global, and
then exit and relaunch Microsoft Project Professional to "refresh" the
Enterprise Global on your PC? Let us know.

Dale, I followed the steps in order and was successful. The field was
available and properly named in Project Pro and I was able to create a new
view with the field and it retained its proper name.

The one thing I may have skipped over was to reopen Project Pro to "refresh"
the Enterprise Global, since I was focusing my attention on the results in
Web Access.

Thanks for your help, as always it is invaluable.
