Outline Menu

Hi all,

I am using FP XP for my web pages. I want to automatically replace all shared borders which contain links to pages, with more advanced system of outline like menus that are composed of a small square with a + sign at middle and when you click on + all sub folders roll down open. What is the technical name for this outline method for menus and how can I continue FP XP with my web pages so that it continues adjusting and keeping track of changes of pages and updates my outline menus? Many thanks.

Jay.

You are looking for JavaScript DHTML Menus.

Thanks Thomas for the info. Can you also recommend couple of such packages
which work smoothly with FP and is flexible with my constant shuffling web
pages around.

Sorry, I can't recommend any, as I don't use them.

Take a look at

Using JavaScript/Behaviours (for FrontPage 2003)
http://www.interlacken.com/winnt/tips/tipshow.aspx?tip=28
and
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/jonspivey/menus/index.html

CSS (all versions of FrontPage):

I am currently using the CSS version at www.rxs-enterprises.org, using
FrontPage include files for the drop down leaves, which provides
flexibility and makes management simple. With any of the above, since
all the links are text links (not JavaScript), FrontPage will look
after the links when pages are moved around different folders.

Many thanks for information.
Is there any version of FP that contains in it DHTML Menu capability?

Jay.

The closest is FP2003 with it's behaviors.
