Outline text

Is it possible to put a black outline around a text character? This
would allow, say, red text to be seen against a red background.

Thanks for the quick response, but that wasn't exactly what I wanted
to do. I'm trying to put a line around the character, not a block
behind the character.

This is a pretty antiquated way of showing something but it should be
good enough. This is the letter 'D'. I want the outline of the
letter to be black but the body to be a different colour.

I hope it can be done.

sorry about that, I should have read further. What you're showing is closer
to wordart than texting. Usually we suggest that you consider importing it
from another product.
