Thanks - that's exactly it .... it's clear if you know the technology
However it turns out that Outlook 2007 has removed this capability outside
of it's own folder web pages.

He's asking about the outlook URI scheme, e.g. outlook::today, which
does work when typed into a browser (even Firefox) because Outlook has
registered itself as the handler for that URI scheme in the Windows
registry. I know I've seen people ask before about what other
resources might be supported, but there's certainly no list from
Microsoft. You can make Outlook display a given folder that way, I
believe, that's about it.
