outlook 07: "new mail" disabled, infact all "new ***" buttons disa

I installed a trial version of outlook 2007 on windows vista home premium
yesterday. Looks like it doesnt work... my outlook is crippled. Please help!

All the "new mail", "new appointment", so on... buttons are disabled..
But when I checked: HELP > DISABLED ITEMS > "There are no disabled items"

What is the problem? What can be done?

Make sure you have activated your trial version and have at least one mail
account configured in Outlook.
