Outlook '07

Hey all,
I am supporting a few users running Outlook 2007 on XP Professional
machines...The problem we are running into with one or two of our users is
that specific e-mails (without attachments) cannot be opened, replied to,
forwarded, etc… The first user came across this issue a month or so ago from
one specific e-mail address, after they opened the e-mail outlook went out
for a stroll (hung-up), so I checked task manager and saw that WINWORD.EXE
was utilizing a very high percentage of the CPU, I ended the WINWORD.EXE
process and outlook operation resumed as if it didn’t miss a beat. Now of
course, when they attempted to open the same e-mail it froze again. I am led
to believe it has something to do with word editing outlook e-mails, I’m not
very familiar with outlook 07 nor its functionality… are there further “Mail
Format†options or “Editor Options†that may resolve this issue?

The second user recently found this to be an issue sporadically while
opening e-mails from addresses that in the past proved to not be a problem
(this worries me). I resolved the issue temporarily again by ending
WINWORD.EXE…as before Outlook 07 resumes chugging along as if all was legit.
Looking for a fix! As far as I know there aren’t any recent service packs or
any updates that address this issue for outlook 2007? Everyone i've read
about on the net that said they had similar issues all resolved them by
installing Service Pack 3...
Thanks for the help in advance,
Joe
