Hi, Here's a curly one.
I've had a few problems with data files running Outlook 2007 on windows XP
pro SP2 with corrupt data files that I've been able to fix using SCAN.PST or
have been automatically scanned. Now On my two-monitor system, the window
opens slowly on my 2ndary monitor but the mouse moves under the window. For a
while it did this, then eventually the cursor moved above the window, but the
window remained unresponsive. Now it just moves under the window no matter
how long outlook has been opened.
Task manager states the program is running normally.
I've tried unintstalling and reinstalling, ( a few times) but the data files
must remain hidden somewhere, because it still accesses my old data
files/mail folders once reinstalled. I did have outlook connector installed,
but I uninstalled it to try and isolate the issue.
Navigating to my error logs My Computer|Manage|Event Viewer|Application I
get the following event information:
1. (Outlook ID 29, Cat NONE) The store C:\Documents and Settings\Lewis
House\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst is being
re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: Index reset, re-push
entire store.
2. (Outlook ID 29, Cat NONE)The store C:\Documents and Settings\Lewis
House\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst is being
re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: MAPI Start Page deleted.
3. (Outlook ID 31, Cat NONE) The store C:\Documents and Settings\Lewis
House\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst has
detected a catalog rebuild.
4. (Outlook ID 32, Cat NONE)The store C:\Documents and Settings\Lewis
House\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst has
detected a catalog checkpoint.
Further along I get a few windows search service information issues and then
an error:
The content source <mapi://{s-1-5-21-796845957-261478967-725345543-1003}/>
cannot be accessed.
Context: Windows Application, SystemIndex Catalog
Details:
A server error occurred. Check that the server is available. (0x80041206)
When I click the hyperlink underneath this one, it returns a help and
support page that then tells me the page can not be displayed.
Prior to this it tells me that Microsoft Office 2007 was successfully
installed.... the prior to that it tells me this:
Source: Win Mgmt Catagory None, EventID 63 User AUTHORITY\SYSTEM: A
provider, OffProv12, has been registered in the WMI namespace, Root\MSAPPS12,
to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the provider
may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate user
requests. All of the other hyperlinks fail to provide me with any useful
information or none at all.
Can anyone help me solve this annoying problem???? Please? Advance thanks,
Dave aka blunoob.
