OUTLOOK 2000 + 100% CPU

About 2 minutes after opening Outlook 2000 the application is using 100%
CPU.
I've done a Detect/Repair but it continues to do this each time I open the
application.

This has recently started to affect my PC also. I'm
running Win XP Pro with Outlook 2000.
As it's fairly recent, I can only wonder whether this
results from one of the "Critical Updates" from MS.

Any suggestions, MS????

any Outlook add-ins installed?
If so, try disabling them. if not or if that makes no difference then try a
new profile.
