Outlook 2000/2002 & Exchange Server 2003 Slow to connect.

We recently upgraded to Windows 2003/Exchange Server 2003
and now are having many connectio problems

It now takes forever to connect and we quite often get a
message indicating that our exchange server is not
available. We can respond by Retry, Work Offine or Cancel
and if we select Retry, we eventually get connected. I am
at the point of wishing I had stayed with NT4 and
Exchange 5.5.
