Outlook 2000 and attachments

I've got Outlook 2000 installed witht he rest of office on
one particular workstation. When I send an attachment
(Word document) to the clients e-mail Outlook gives the
error that word is not installed. I've tried to detect
and repair both programs. I also tried to remove the
Frmcache.dat file which turned out to be not present, the
Outcmd.dat file was not present nor was the Extend.dat
file.

Any assistence you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
