Outlook 2000 and Blackberry 7750 - 3 questions

I have imported some contacts (about 20)into Outlook. One of the fields I imported is birthday. I did this some time ago. They show in the contacts but I had to do something to make them show in the calendar. Only 2 of them show and I am wondering if I might have manually entered them.

Is there a good method for getting the birthday contacts to show on the calendar?

Is there a method for automatically setting reminders?

The other thing is - why do they not show on the blackberry calendar?
I am using intellisync with the blackberry desktop manager - version 3.6.2.9 (Jan 19 2004)

Any help is greatly appreciated
