Outlook 2000 and Excel 2000

I'm having a rather strange problem that I didn't have up
until recently.
Since I've reinstalled Office 2000 Professional, I'm
having trouble opening up Excel documents in the form of
attachments in Outlook.
If I get an Excel document as an attachment, I click on
it, so it will open Excel, and its gets so far and then
locks up. It does this everytime now, even after
reinstalling again.

Any ideas please.
