Hi,
I have a strange problem with Outlook 2000 (doesn't occur with 2002).
My outlook addin creates a folder using the COM object model and sets
the WebViewURL and WebViewOn properties to point the folder's home
page to a page on a local HTTP server. All seems to work fine - i.e.
when you click on the folder, you see the appropriate html page in the
view pane.
The problem is that initially a html form in the page will not work
with method="post" - they'll only work with method="get". When I say
they don't work - I mean the page is often reloaded but no data is
actually submitted. If I manually go to the folder's properties and
make some change (e.g. uncheck "Show homepage by default..." on the
home page tab and then re-check it - effectively doing nothing except
making outlook think something has changed) and then save the
properties, form POSTs will then work.
Is this some sort of odd security feature? or.... anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks,
Geoff Chappell
