Outlook 2000 Backup restoration

Microsoft has provided a download for a backup to Outlook
2000 ( and later versions). Having made a backup how do
you restore it? I want to use it to transfer files from
one computer to another.

copy the .pst file to the new computer. paste it anywhere you wish. delete
the new .pst file created by Outlook. Open Outlook and when it complains,
point it to your saved .pst file.
