I recently installed BTYahoo Broadband including all Yahoo software (fool)
and had my XP PC grind to a slow halt over a week or two. It appeared to be
lots of adware and spyware infiltrated since the install. I removed all
BTYahoo special software etc but PC still slow so I then rolled back using
XP utilities to just before BTYahoo installation and then manually installed
BB modem etc etc but not the tailored Yahoo browser etc. Constantly running
adaware and av software to weed out junk as well run Zone alarm Pro and
mailwasher.
Always used Outlook before and only used OE for newsreader. Since above
repair I cannot send or receive email in Outlook but I can with OE. I have
even tried removing all accounts from Outlook and importing account details
and settings from OE but still it always says the servers cannot be found.
I have a main email account with BTYahooBB and other non BT email accounts.
All work fine via OE but I cannot get them to work in Outlook. Where do I
look now?
tried the BTYBB newsgroup and was "politely" told to take it to microsoft!
So here it is - Can anyone suggest a cause and solution?
