Outlook 2000 cant transfer emails help

I have 10,000 emails in my Outlook 2000 files. The program stopped working.
I have copied the files to a new hard drive but cannot open them with outlook
07 or windows email. How can I get them?

10,000 messages is a pittance in terms of number, but the sizes of those
messages means everything. How big does Windows say your PST is?
