Greg

I have a user that outlook crashes intermittently. When it crashes I get an
error message that states:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:|Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe
abnormal program termination

I tried re-installing Office and all updates are installed and there was no
entrys in the event viewer.

How can I fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem and have scoured the threads here to find a solution,
but none of the suggested fixes to do with Norton, the recommended knowledge
base articles, etc seem to be either relevant or offer a possible solution.

Help!! I am running Outlook 2000 on Win98 with Office 2000 installed.

I have removed and installed Office and Outlook all to no avail. I can open
the users mailbox on another computer, so do not think that there is a
problem with one email in the inbox.

Any ideas?

I started having this problem after installing Office Updates SP3. I use
McAfee, but I don't think that is the problem. I get the error only when
opening a message in a new window or trying to open a new mail dialogue.

In my case, I have now found the problem. It was a Plaxo toolbar that was
inserted into outlook. When I uninstalled the Plaxo toolbar everything was
fine. Installed toolbars seem to be a common thread with this kind of
problem.
