Outlook 2000 email error

I keep getting an error message when trying to get email, that my .pst file
could not be accessed. I looked for the .pst file and found it was replaced
by something with a .nick file name. Also, the properties of the file seem to
be changed on today's date. Do I have some sort of virus?
