I have a couple of users who when they attempt to attach a
file from a mapped shared drive while they are in Outlook
by browsing down to the level in the folder desired,
Outlook hangs building the list of folders and stops at
certain ones...There are a total of 937 objects in the
folder they browse to (combination of files and folder).
When I remove either just one or a couple of folders that
are in this folder (about where the folder build list
stops responding), then Outlook attaches and builds just
fine the folder list. Well I thought it was just an
Outlook problem, I was wrong. The same issue is happening
when a user is in Excel and goes to File open a file in
that same folder...it builds the list and then hangs when
it gets to a certain folder. I remove a couple of folders
to get it to work again and the same issue happens a
couple of weeks later...This one is tough, has anyone seen
this same issue before and if so what was the solution.
