Outlook 2000 - Folder Disappearing Acts

L

laura flatts

I have a user that has mail folders disappearing randomly. Using advanced search does not find the folder, it is not in deleted items, they are just gone, user is not deleting them. File size of PST currently is 300MB.

OS = WinXP Pro joined to domain
Office 2000 SP3 and patches

Folders randomly disappear, causing rules to go wonky.

Mail support is for Corporate.

PST file is stored in e:\documents\username\outlook\username.pst

Ran Scanpst, it found minor inconsistencies which I let it repair after creating a backup. Other than that, I have no more rabbits in my hat. Any help would be deeply appreciated, Thanks!

Make a new pst, in Outlook copy all the email and other items from other
folders into new pst. Delete old pst.
