Outlook 2000 Force Plain Text?

W

whatsittoyez

I'm using Office 2000...I'm wondering if Outlook 2000 (Internet only SP-3)
can force HTML emails to be displayed as plain text? I stumbled on a site
that says you can add a registry DWORD entry, but it didn't seem to work
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail: Name
ReadAsPlain Type:REG_DWORD Value:1)

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

You can't - the reg hack only works with Outlook 2000 CW mode, not IMO.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, whatsittoyez asked:

Oh, but you can install Chilton Preview Pane that will force plain text
display on all messages. Google for it.
