Our organization uses Outlook 2000 SP3 in IMO mode. Seven of our users
cannot send free/busy calendaring information while the Windows Firewall is
on. If the Firewall is turned off the free/busy info is sent successfully.
While the firewall is on only begin is sent. The free/busy info is being
sent to an ftp server. On these seven machines we have installed the free
copy of Zone Alarm and free/busy info is sent without a problem. The pcs are
desktup machines not more than two years old. All desktops run XP Pro SP2
with Office XP SP3, but with Outlook 2000 SP3.
We need to use the Windows Firewall, organization policy, and not switch out
to ZA on potentially hundreds of other machines that are having similiar
free/busy issues. Upgrade to another version of Outlook is not in the works
at time. Thank you for any and all help. Paul
