Outlook 2000 freezes.

We are still frozen! (I posted 7/20 as well.) My husband
has tried a couple of things I found in these posts re:
Outlook freezing--scanning .pst, renaming outcmd.dat,
repairing with Office CD. I like Outlook 2000--cable
internet access setup CD has Outlook Express. We checked
to see what the defaults are set at--Outlook. Outlook
freezes when the calendar reminders pop up, it freezes
when I click on Address Book under Tools, it freezes on
trying to send the one lone e-mail in my Outbox, it
freezes when I click on it and try to delete it (it was a
test e-mail for our new cable access), it freezes when I
even *think* about doing anything in Outlook. Outlook
Express freezes as well! I want my previous life with
Outlook back! My husband is thinking we have to uninstall
Outlook 2000, and start over. Is that what we have to
do? Doesn't this problem sound familiar to anyone? Can
anyone out there hear me whinning?! I use e-mail
extensively for genealogy and I am now going through
severe withdrawals!!!! Web mail just isn't enough!
