Outlook 2000 gives error, doesn't open.Repair program didn't help

Hi,

When I tried to repair and also reinstall, the process goes so far and then
a Microsoft Server Extenstions labeled window pops up with the message

Unable to access configuration for Microsoft Web Server

Then the process continues as if it is doing something and at the end claims
success. After restarts etc. Outlook 2000 still doesn't start. One thing I
didn't do is to uninstall Office myself and then reinstall with the hope that
repair program will help.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
