Outlook 2000 hangs

Whenever I click on an email link on a website, outlook
opens the window to compose an email and hangs. Then I
have to go to the Windows Task Manager, then
Applications, and end the process. Then the next time I
click on the email link, it works fine. Any ideas why it
freezes every time?
