Outlook 2000 has performed and illegal operation ..........

A few days ago my Outlook came up with the following
message during start-up:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down -
Details as follows:
OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in

I've tried a number of options but without success.
Can anybody help to resolve this problem?

Geoff, I am having exactly the same problem with my
Outlook. I have Windows 98 Second Edition, Outlook 2000
installed and have been working fine until yesterday.
Have we been infected by a virus?
I'll be checking this site for a reply by someone in the
know.
