Outlook 2000 keeps trying to install over 2002

I bought an Ipaq PDA and installed 2002 over an earlier
version of Outlook 2000.

2002 did install, and it works. However during install it
asked me for data but would not accept it. It says it is
on CD (I believe an inf file) but everywhere I checked it
would not accept the file.

Now whenever I start up Outlook it works BUT it keeps
trying to install something. A window comes up LDAP
Directory with my computer log-in name. (Also says Port
3268). I click cancel and it goes into preparing to
install OUtlook 2000.

This also happens in Active Sych.

My computer now has both Outlook 2000 and 2002 on it.
What can I do to just get the thing to start 2002 without
all of that other stuff?

Can I uninstall Outlook 2000 safely, or will I lose my
data?

This is very frustrating, and any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

You can uninstall Outlook 2000 safely. Making backups of your pst-files is
always a good practise before uninstalling/installing though.
