PC's with Office 2000 lockup when they start outlook 2000 on their PC after I
powered down the original exchange 5.5 server. When I bring the server back
up, & with Exchange services stopped, the office 2000 users can use outlook
2000 with no problems. Our vendor cannot find why the clients are still
pointing to the old 5.5 server.
I checked all local dns, outlook profile, Ip info on the PCs, if we upgrade
to Office 2003 & use Outlook 2003 the users can use outlook 2003 with old
server down.
I have about 50 Office 2000 users & do not have resources to upgrade all of
them.
Any ideas appreciated.
