outlook 2000 no longer opens .msg files.

I no longer can open .msg files in Outlook 2000. How can I correct this?
Other files open with out any problem.

neo [mvp outlook]

Go thru add/remove programs and switch the mode (e.g. Internet Mail Only
mode to Corporate/Workgroup or Corporate/Workgroup to Internet Mail Only).
Once you get it switched, switch back to what it was. This should force a
rewrite of the missing registry keys.

Note: Switching modes will require access to the original installation
media/source.
