Outlook 2000 performance prob

Hi,

Outlook 2000 now takes 2 minutes to create a New, Open or create a Reply to
a message. Calendar entries are also very slow to open.

Any clues please?

The size of your data file, probably named outlook.pst, is?

First question, what type of mail account is this? Are you using a PST? How
large is it? If your PST is large (2 GB is the max size for this older
version of Outlook), that would explain the performance. If you're using
Outlook 2000 to connect to Exchange, this doesn't apply.

Second question, does Outlook's slow behaviour continue if you open it in
safe mode? Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe
