Outlook 2000 phone number format

Since downloading the latest critical updates, Outlook
2000 no longer automatically formats my contacts phone
numbers like it used to, i.e.(###) ###-####. It just
lumps all of the numbers together. I tried detect and
repair to no avail. Any suggestions?
