Outlook 2000 - reminders not popping up

I have seen discussions about the problem of reminders not popping up, in
which the fix is to run the "/CleanReminders" switch. I've tried this a
thousand times in my latest build of Outlook 2007 (12.0.4407.1004 - Windows
PC) but it doesn't work.

When I start Outlook 2007, I get a balloon announcement telling me that
Outlook 2007 cannot read my reminders and that the reminders won't pop up.

In the prior version of Outlook 2007, I didn't have this problem. It seems
to be specific to 2007. Help?
