Outlook 2000 Running Slower than Normal

I have see a few posts here reporting that of Outlook 2007 running slow.

I seem to be having a problem with Outlook 2000 running slower than normal.

Could this be related or perhaps could anyone please advise what I might do
to speed things up a little.

Footnote: I am on a fresh install of Windows XP pro. I noticed that
Outlook 2000 was running slow before I wiped my machine. Now that I have
restored Outlook 2000 to the fresh install it seems that I have brought the
trouble forward. I use Genie Backup to backup and restore my Outlook.
Genie not only saves the pst files but also Outlook Settings. I suppose the
trouble is amongst these settings.

Any Suggestions?

Do you have IE7 installed? Do you use HTML in Outlook? If so, reduce the
quantity of sites in the restricted zone of IE7.

Yes I do have IE7 installed

Not to sure what you mean about HTML but I will check it out later today
