Outlook 2000 says it needs OE 4.01 or greater - I have OE 6.0 !

I have XP Pro -SP2 with MS Office 2000.

Recently , when I launch Outlook 2000 I get the message :-

" Outlook requires Outlook Express 4.01 or greater "

I actually have OE 6.0 installed although I actually use Eudora for
e-mails and never use OE.

This message has only recently been displayed.

How do I get rid of it and why I am suddenly experiencing it , does
anyone know ?

Thanks for the reference.

However , having read this it seems to me that the solutions given
there seem to only apply when OE has not been installed .

As I stated in my OP I DO have OE 6.0 installed and have operated
Outlook for some time without seeing this error message .

What I would like to discover is :-

1.Why am I getting this message when OE IS already installed ?

2.Why has this message suddenly appeared when Outlook has launched for
over 2 years without this message appeariing.?
