Outlook 2000 SR1 Rules problem

Hi All,

I had a number of rules to check incoming messages and
move them to the appropriate folders. Everything was
working fine and these all fired off ok as new messages
came in.

I had installed Outlook as internet only since we don't
have an exchange server here. Recently I started working
for a client with an Exchange server and I got vpn access
to their server. I thought it would be useful to connect
my outlook client to their server too, so I reconfigured
mail support and reinstalled for Exchange and internet
accounts (i.e. Tools/Options - mail delivery tab, click on
the "Reconfigure Mail Support" button).

Now, however my rules would not fire off when new messages
arrived. I reconfigured my mail support back to internet
only and they still didn't work on incoming messages. I
can run them on the messages that have come in and are
sitting in my inbox and they then sort them, but they are
no longer automatically running on incoming messages.

Is there some option that got turned off here? I even
deleted and recreated them and still can't get them to run
when a new message comes in.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Unless anyone has
any other ideas, I'll probably just uninstall and
reinstall.
