Outlook 2000 startup problems

When opening outlook 2000 ,I get an OLE registration
error. The program will not start and then crashes.I have
installed all of the updates and patches for the software.

I have encountered a similar problem. I had a problem
with ie6, so I uninstalled and restored ie5.5. But
afterwards when opening Outlook 2000, I'd get a similar
message: "An OLE registration error has occurred. The
program is not properly installed. Run setup again for the
program". Since Outlook is part of Office 2000, I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2000, but to no
avail. I too have tried installing all of the updates and
patches from the Microsoft site.
