I have a PC and a laptop that I connect together as a LAN
at times. The PC is my main machine and i use it for eMail
etc normally.
Occassionally, I need to take the laptop away with me, and
i want to transfer the current OUTLOOK files across to it
so i can access emails etc. while away, and then transfer
the information back on my return.
I have successfully done this after reinstalling all my
software on both machines, so with a blank copy on the
laptop I could export a .pst from the PC and read it into
the latop. After reinstalling on the PC, I did the same
the other way.
However, using .pst files once OUTLOOK is populated results
in the new stuff being added to the existing on that
machine, and any deletions made on the PC are replaced as
they have not been deleted on the laptop.
Is there an easy way of synchonizing the two sets of data,
or where is the data stored so i can deleted that file on
the laptop and replace it with the one from the PC and so
on.
I am running Win 2000.
